West Central Plains District Superintendent - Rev. Tom Ream
Rev. Tom Ream serves as the District Superintendent of the West Central Plains District of the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church. A native of the Fort Wayne area, Tom graduated from Leo High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Purdue University Fort Wayne and a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary.
Tom has served congregations across the Indiana Conference for nearly three decades, including appointments in Lafayette, Rensselaer, Warsaw, Marion, Richmond, and most recently at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. In addition to local church ministry, Tom has served the Indiana Conference in numerous leadership roles, including Conference Secretary for the Board of Trustees, Chair of the Board of Camps and Conferences, member of district Committees on Ordained Ministry, Local Pastor mentor, member of the Heritage Pointe Board, and leader for a variety of conference camping ministries.
Tom and his wife, Melissa, a registered nurse, have been married for more than 30 years. They are the proud parents of four daughters: Kate (married to Conner), Anna Claire, Corinne, and Mallory. They also share their home with two golden retrievers, Collin and Henry. In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, relaxing at the lake with his family, and walking the dogs. Whether around a conference table, on a church visit, or around a campfire, Tom finds joy in helping people recognize where God is already at work and inviting them to join in that story.
